ENTRYSAFE - Access Interlock to Prevent Door Closure
Description
The Castell Entry Safe prevents the accidental or malicious closing of access doors whilst an operator is inside. The unit is designed to inhibit the starting of a machine by preventing the operation of tongue switch or similar devices.
Operation
Under normal working conditions the access door is closed, the tongue switch engaged and the machine operating. When access is required the operator opens the door until the door hits the upper lever. The coded Castell key is then rotated ninety degrees, rotating the upper lever out of the way whilst a lower lever extends to prevent the door from closing once the key has been removed. The key is then kept by the operator for the duration of the time in the guarded area. When additional operatives require access, a multi-clasp is attached to the lever, allowing personal lock-out padlocks to be attached. To restart the machine, all padlocks would have to be removed and the door closed until it hits the lower lever. The Castell key is inserted into the EntrySafe and turned ninety degrees, retracting the lower lever, extending the upper lever allowing the door to be closed.

System Description
A one (1) character symbol is permitted. The symbol is shown twice on the lock; once upright, the other upside down, this is so the unit is universal - to suit left and right hinged doors.
