Tapeswitch Type B2, B3, & B4 Perimeter Access Guarding Systems are designed for safety and security applications. These photoelectric devices use light curtain technology but with multiple beams and wider beam spacing. They are typically used for guarding hazardous areas such as automated work cells or monitoring access or traffic in secure locations. The models differ in the number of beams and the beam spacing.

Type B Perimeter Access Guarding units provide the same high level category 4 safety integrity as the B-Series safety light curtains. To simplify installation, the emitter and receiver pair make up a self-contained system which is capable of safety functions without additional equipment.
