| Tapeswitch safety mats are supplied with a choice of edge styles and do not require additional edging in many applications. In some cases, however, aluminum edging may be used to secure the safety mat to the floor, provide a wire chase for the leads, or to add a safety-yellow edge marking. |

Ramp Edge
- Bevel is cut in mat edge
- Provides a smooth transition between floor and mat
- Minimizes any trip hazard
- Suitable for single safety mat installations where permanently affixing the mat is not required.

Square Edge
- Mat edge is squared off
- Used in multiple-mat systems
- Used with aluminum edging
- Suitable when a safety mat is abutted to a machine or wall
