|
The Wheelchair Lift Sensing Mat is a specialty signal mat product that is used to detect the presence of a wheelchair or powered scooter on a bus- or van-mounted lift. This rugged switching mat is easy to install, and the ribbed surface provides excellent traction, even under wet conditions.
The sensing mat acts as a normally-open switch that provides a contact closure when the wheelchair or scooter is in place. It is used to signal the operator that the lift is ready for operation. It can also detect an object on the lift and prevent it from being stowed until cleared.
