Type 104 is aluminum construction. The ribbon switch slides in from one end.

Standard lengths are 3 ft (0.9 m), 6 ft (1.8 m) and 12 ft (3.6 m). Pre-punched 5/32" inch holes on 7 inch centers for lengths up to 6 ft.

Type 106 is aluminum construction. Type 106P is a plastic extrustion. The ribbon switch may be snapped into the channel or slid in from one end.
