These ribbon switches have special physical properties that allow them to be curved laterally to a 30in. radius when used in a sensing edge housing. They can also be inserted in a heavy-duty rubber sheath (Type 161-FSA), or used unsheathed (Type 161-FS).

Ribbon switch sensitivity:
8oz. (2 N) unsheathed.
80oz. (22 N) in rubber sheath.

Mounting is by means of double-faced tape or by mastic when the ribbon switch is in the rubber sheath. Length is cut to customer requirements.
