Ribbon Switches with Special Environmental Properties
Types 170-IS & 171-IS (Moisture-Resistant)

Ribbon switches with a moisture-resistant design. They are commonly used as vehicle sensing switches. These ribbon switches use Dri-Run cable which has non- fibrous fillers to eliminate wicking. Type 171-IS has an in-line moisture trap. Both types can be used with RBMA sheathing to increase durability. This ribbon switch has a high operating force of 160 oz (44 N). Length is cut to customer requirements.
